The wether and classed out ewe lambs could be marketed in the following ways:
- In regions that have suitable nutrition, the lambs could be grown out and are capable of achieving export weight within 12 months, with the added bonus of the finer lambs wool being shorn prior to sale.
- In regions that do not have adequate nutritional requirements or are experiencing a tough season, the lambs could be sold as stores at weaning. Getting the lambs off early and lightening the load could increase the ewe carrying capacity.
